lyrics
The lord of the tower
raises his hands
with words of dominance,
That break the stone
and come back to life
Voices of hateful creatures
that should not live.
Their cries and pain are rising
from the grave, the seal is broken.
Whispers between graves
Words of evil bloody faith
burning souls
the meat is ready for the feast.
Somebody claims their souls,
they can’t rest anymore.
Doomed, damned
they can’t resist,
Dusk and shadows,
they must rise!
They crawl slowly,
creeping bodies, mouths in silence
They only obey him
the king of madness,
the world will end, at dawn.
Whispers between graves,
words of evil fill the night
Burning souls,
meat is ready for the pyre
Burial mounds you must avoid,
there are dreaming things inside,
and their sleep shall not be broken
or you will be
meat and brains for them to eat
meat and brains for them to eat
Whispers between (the) graves,
Words of evil fill the night
Late 90's BM worship, but it's also a lil more than that. This album takes the best elements from the scene it's inspired by and mostly avoids the worst of it; the song-writing is well-written, it's performed with passion and fun, and the production is raw but isn't lo-fi. (i.e. it doesn't obfuscate and/or suckass).
Tl;dr It's safe but high quality BM. Recommended. Rabbit
If the band's ambition was "just to" reproduce old melodic BM classics like Dissection and early Emperor, I'd say it is a grand success, shit even the cover art reminds me of the "Storm" album... However, I wish this album had a bit more personality to it. These guys are from the U.K., after all. The first half is majestic, the second half a bit less. Still it's a very enjoyable melodic BM album. sachavonkarl74
The metal’s band revelatory new record crosses genres and styles, effortlessly combining seemingly incompatible subgenres. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 26, 2024
incredibly well-played melo bm from indonesia, dealing with the topic of genocide in that country. the high-water mark for a band with an already great catalog. Glitzy Límon
